G. Edward Martin
G. Edward Martin, a six-time award-winning indie author and illustrator from Nashville, TN, writes in Philosophical Fiction, exploring themes of morality, reality, and the human pursuit of meaning. His diverse works span genres such as historical fiction, supernatural mystery, and Native American fiction.
Martin has published three full-length books, six novellas, and numerous short stories. Notable titles include Truth and Evil, The Mighty Esox, and The Nobody Who Fought a Dragon.

I firmly believe that the oldest form of magic in human history is storytelling. As a child I felt that magic in the pages of The Hobbit and The Magician’s Nephew. Later on I learned to harness that power on stage.
From reenacting my favorite books and films for my parents to earning a bachelor’s degree in theatre performance, bringing characters to life has been one of my life’s greatest passions. I set performing aside for several years to raise my own little bookworms, but I found my way back to the old magics of storytelling.
While I love Fantasy, Mystery, and Young Adult my favorite stories go beyond genres or tropes. I love narrating books that connect to the depth of the human emotional experience. Books about struggle, joy, anxiety, triumph, pain and hope. I want to tell your story in a way that makes your words feel new and leaves you in a puddle of tears or giddy with delight.

As a teenager, I recorded myself narrating some of my favorite books to include “Redwall” by Brian Jacques and “Abarat” by Clive Barker. As an adult and mother, I continue my love of narration by animatedly reading to my children books like “The Five Children and It” and “Harry Potter”.
The books that have currently captured my fancy are the “Outlander” series by Diana Gabaldon.
