How to Participate

There are several ways to take part in the BookTok Indie Author Awards. Whether you’re an author submitting your work or a reader championing your favorite titles, your participation helps shape this year’s finalists and winners.

Submit Your Book

Authors and publishers may submit eligible titles for consideration across this year’s award categories. All submissions must meet the established publication window and eligibility guidelines.

Nominate a Book

Readers can nominate their favorite independently published books for designated reader-driven categories, helping ensure standout stories receive the recognition they deserve.

Vote for Winners

Once finalists are announced, community voting will open to determine this year’s winners. Every vote contributes to celebrating the authors and books that resonated most with readers.

First Round Voting

September 1 – October 1

Community voting determines the official finalists in each category.

Finalist Voting (Top 5)

October 2 – November 13

Final voting opens for the top five titles per category to determine this year’s winners.
